Making "rocket sauce" with dad for molding and casting |
A lot of school is impromptu.
9/25/13 Zoo pics
Zoo -- if you get a yearly pass, you can stop by for a few hours several times instead of having to "make a day of it" and getting tired and cranky -- you can also reinforce earlier visits and go during the weekday when the crowds are at work and school, a real luxury.
The deer wandered voluntarily through the zoo |
Feeding chickens leaves |
Wandering peahens with chicks |
Grizzly |
We've watched this family grow |
We've now seen them feed the lions and the mountain lions, very cat-like |
Okapi with shadows |
Peahen with chicks |
Porcupine, we saw the little one as a baby |
Anyone know what these fuzzy things are in the rose bushes? Parasite? |
Rose hips |
Petting the wallaby |

Surprise orthodontic visit in town, so that's 3 1/2 hours out of the day.
Used the drive to go to the zoo with our pass, one of the perks of home schooling is going to zoos and museums during the school week when it's not crowded.
Home, Math (Murderous Maths and Fred), Bible (Proverbs), Play Piano in a Flash for Kids
Listened to the medieval music CD up and down to town
