On piano, played a bit with the sheet music to see how it works, then got older girls to try to pick out the music on the piano based on listening to the Sissel "Ave Maris Stella" in the youtube videos below. Youngest just learned to sing the English with it. All read own books when not doing music: Youngest library books (Eric Carle), older read lit based on the country of their choosing ("The Importance of Being Earnest" and Pushkin stories).
With younger in gaps, read Usborne "Sun, Moon, and Stars", watched NASA video above, read Chinese fairy tales book below.  Read story about brothers in law competing to see who could complete a poem with the starts provided, completed a couple ourselves, roughly.  Here are the starts:
    In the sky ___________________
    On the earth _________________
    On the table_________________
    In the room___________________
Complete the sentences making the first and second and the third and fourth rhyme.

Literature:  Read "The 39 Steps", with discussions on some of the race language.  Some girls have already read the "39 Clues" series and we've watched "Carmen Sandiego" in the conspiracy/travelogue tradition.
Some cleaning up and making dinner, beef pot pie with prefab crust and leftover stew
    Outside practiced with the Daisy.http://www.daisy.com/
