Two hour tour Fort Uncompahgre Living History Museum -- rebuilt fort from time of mountain man Antoine Robidoux (great site, very limited hours so check ahead)
History museum in Delta, Colorado, with barbed wire and butterfly collection, large bells outside that kids can ring, archives kept here by local volunteers
Fish hatchery near Mount Princeton and Nathrop, run by CO Division of Wildlife for stocking rainbow trout in the state, they give you a bucket of fish food to feed fish (correction to the link info, hatchery opens at 9, not 8).
Best playground ever in Gunnison, Colorado (Meadows?); decent farmer's market
Monarch Pass rest stop (which is also a point on a bike route and a gondola ride launch, we did neither)
Several purchases made, money budgeting
